Job Description
Assists with personal care needs of patients. Assists in providing for nutrition and elimination needs of patients. Facilitates admission, discharge and transfer procedures for patients on and off unit. Performs under the supervision of the RN or Nurse Manager. Responsible for other duties that may arise while on duty. Will act in a supportive role to nurses and/or physicians.
Requirements
High school graduate or equivalent is required. The nursing assistant shall have satisfactorily completed formal instruction for Nursing Assistant I at a technical or vocational school and be currently listed as CNA I on the Nurse Aide Registry, division of Facility Services, North Carolina, certified without substantiated findings. BLS prefered upon hire or must complete within 90 days of hire. BLS required for continued employment.
